Heart Burn

OK All day long I have had terrible heart burn type pain. I take Nexium. Just a few minutes ago I gagged as a huge super dark green glob (about the size of a nickle) dislodged from my sinuses into my throat. A few minutes after spittting it out, my belly started feeling better. Anyone with sinus issues have this happen? I went to an ENT last year who said my sinuses are good. I dont have headaches etc, but this isnt the first time to have a hunk of junk break loose. Any thoughts?

Yeah I've had that happen quite a few times before.
Whenever I've asked the ENT he just said that usually it's just hardened phlegm (kind of like a plug) that's moved to the back of your sinuses and has dislodged.
Nothing to worry about (but icky as heck).

Same here; my ent scaled me at "0" at my last check up, but I still have that happen. I think all that garbage working its way into and down the back of your throat triggers a "gag" type reflex, and bothers the tummy . Better out than in, as they say .

totaly had it happen... it's just a bug + sputum from the sinuses.

has nothing to do with acid reflux/GERD/heart burn

I have bad sinuses and regularly dislodge those plugs as well. Generally I will get a burning sensation down the back of my throat immediately before it is ready to come out.

I also get the heartburn type feeling some days which pass as soon as a plug comes out and I think it is just stuff from the plug/sinuses draining into our stomachs... not sure if there is anything we can do to prevent that though.

The other thing I will get is an obnoxious cough associated with a tickle in my throat days before a plug dislodges and once it does the tickle is gone.
