I have been visiting your site for the last year or so and have
finally decided to take my first steps into
"blogging/chatting", so be gentle with me--this is my
first time. I am also somewhat computer illiterate, so please
type slowly. I live in Des Moines, Iowa and the flowers in my
hair have been replaced with a "few" gray hairs. I
have just recently emancipated myself after 33 yrs, and moved into
a teeny tiny house with room for a garden. I have two grown
daughters, Demelza 28 and Krista 20. Demelza has a son
Jaykub 7, and a daughter Kaylee 3. My granddaughter was
diagnosed with CF when she was 1yrs old. She had frequent
respiratory problems, smelly stools, and failure to thrive.
Finally the
Dr. thought to try a sweat test. I'm still upset it took so
long to diagnose. She has done pretty well, and just got the vest.
This just so scary for me, especially when I read about all
the stuff you all go through. You guys seem to be a pretty tight
group and I'm awed by your knowledge and thoughtfulness about all
things in general. I know I'm not walking in your shoes, but
I hope to be trailing along behind you, so don't walk to fast.
By the way, I work the "graveyard" shift at a
hospital (11p-7:30a). Hope to be reading you soon.
