Ok so I just joined and discovered instead of putting my name as hopeforever it came out hoeforever. How do I change this?

More importantly I soak my eflow head in alcohol 24/7 is this correct way of steralizing it? I ask because it is so strong that when I do do my neb I cough so much because of the alcohol smell. How do you still keep it sanitized without loosing your med to coughing?

Thanks so much for any help given!

Send a PM or email Imogene to have her staff correct your username...

email is Jeanne@medrise.com or click on the report this to a moderator down on the left of the message/thread.

As far as eflow.....there is a ton of threads covering this. May I suggest you do a search on it....

Yes there are a lot of threads on this...

and a lot of different opinions on how to clean it. I started using an eflow 3 1/2 years ago with aztreonam. In the video tutorial, I was instructed to wash with water and (un-scented and non-antibacterial) soap after each use. It NEVER said to me, to keep it in alcohol for a prolonged period of time. I was told however, to 'sterilize' it once a day or every other day...by boiling the plastic and rubber pieces and placing the head in alcohol for TEN minutes. Then let the items air dry.

I dont sterilize it as often as I should. Maybe once or twice a week. I do wash it with soap and water after each use. I am healthier than I was then and I have never had any problems with the head clogging. And I also use HTS with the eflow now. It takes longer, yes, but it has never clogged on me to the point where I have to sterilize it immediately before using it. And then I sterilize it and the timing is much better.
