Help for Fart Odors

I forgot about you car Fred LOL! Passing gas elsewhere is ok as long as I am not strapped into my vest. Sadly tho that is when most of my gas seems to rise to the occaision. I suppose its all the shaking.

I will try the arm/hammer baking soda &/or carpet powder, Jane. I am hoping that it "neutralizes" rather then covering up which doesnt seem to work.

You may also want to try an "enzyme" spray like "Nature's Miracle" (pet stores, internet), "Out!" (pet section, Walmart- this is what I have currently), "Simple Solution" (I get this one at the grocery store- it works the best IMO). They are specially formulated for er, biological odors. They work great for my cats and dogs- they would probably work for your chair, too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> . Sometimes multiple treatments may be needed (if it's really bad <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ), but it does work well <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> .

What AnD said. A male cat got in our car at a family get together and sprayed the front seat. That amonia/cat smell is very hard to get out. I used "Out" on it. I had to saturate it 3 times, but after that it was gone.

When you get your new chair, maybe you can get a seat cushion for it. That might protect it from the fart monster. Maybe then if you throw the cushion in the washer every week or so it might not linger.

I am starting to feel a bit inhuman since the recommendations are used for animal odors LOL!

I agree with the additional cusion when I get my new chair. Its much easier to pop it in the washer and the wash is more thorough then what the steam cleaner can do! As well as it can dried better.
