Help for my mom and I

Okay It has been forever since I have been on here or posted. We have been through the usual life of a cf'er, Brandon is now one as of June 6. He was in and out of the office all winter long with what was thought to be a cold.I know that Psudamonas usually starts with a cold of some sort. He wasn't responding to anything so after a few months our dr. said she wanted to culture him of coarse it was psudo. He didn't respond to the cipro and we had to got to the hospital for 2 weeks for iv drugs and aggressive treatment. She had hoped this would get rid of it but this last culture he still( which I was figuring it would happen). He was also put on hypersal twice daily, in which he does really good with. he never really has coughed or spit much up until he was on this.

Also side note when we visited FL (Jacksonville) he was expectorating a whole load of stuff and toward the end of the trip he seemed very happy and comfortable.

recently My cousin with cf visited and told me how important it is to get him out of Indiana. I have always wanted to move but have not wanted to leave my family. I have been researching a lot lately and am thinking of Statesboro Ga ( near Savannah ) that area seems to have a lot of good things going on.

My mom would love to move down with us but my step-dad does not want to leave his life here. Everyone is really upset and she is confused on how I think this is beneficial for Brandon because there is no studys done on location with cf.

I told my mom to get on here and read up on what people with cf have to say, if you have any good info or statements on how you feel it would be appreciated.

I have lived in Statesboro....that is where we were living when our now 5yr. old daughter was diagnosed on the eve of her 1st b-day. The doctors in Savannah are a little behind in technology, after me taking her to the Ped. over 24 times, had one hospitalization in Savannah, they sent her to Jacksonville. Jacksonville is who diagnosed her. We made the move down here for her health care. The Jacksonville CF center is awesome! We love Zoe's doctors there.
Statesboro is a nice enough town though. It is a college town, so expect to deal with a lot of people that age.
Our favorite Mexican rest. is there though! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
