Help me with this Hypertonic Saline!

Heys guys-
If any of u are on the hyp.saline can u help me? I'm on my regular Albuterol puffer and Pulmozyme. Do I do H saline first or Pulmozyme first?

you mean you do them both together (as in both morning or both night?) i have pulmozyme at night and do HS in the morning...not 1 before the other.

i aslo had a h.saline question- what % does everybody have??

I didn't have time to do my pulmozyme this morning, so I did it now. I thought I remembered do all you reg. stuff and then do the saline. Like I do TOBI month on month off, and I'll have to do it before the saline I guess.

If anyone knows any better please let me know!

Well, I just did it-man I thought it burned my throat! Has anyone else experienced that? It was weird at first. But it got better as I did it. I think it's gross.
I do 2ml of 3% and 3ml of 10%. Strong stuff.

i don't think you have to worry about making a terrible mistake here. i have asked different doctors and gotten different answers so i think there is some variation of medical opinion out there.

i do my h.saline mixed with albuterol morning and night. then once a day, after doing that, and after doing airway clearance, i do my pulmozyme. not sure about the tobi.

i do tobi month on month off too but i have saline then physio then tobi.....not sure if the order makes a huge difference though!

totally feel your pain with the throat burning christian! the first time i had h.saline i was in hospital, the physio gave it to me and asked if i'd be ok i was like um i've had a neb before of course i'll be ok! after he left and he turned it on it was burning my throat and i'd never coughed so much in my life.....i thought i was going to pass out!!! i buzzed the nurse, kinda embarrassing cos she came in thinking what's wrong and it was just me having a normal h.saline reaction!! you get used to it though...

I coughed so much last night (my first time)-I couldn't belive it! It felt like I was inhaling a poisonous gas. But then I got used to it after 10 minutes or so.

My childs doc. said to give albuterol to open her up , hs to thin the junk,vest to help remove the junk, tobi or colisin whatever month your on to what should be a little cleaner lungs after all the other treatments. Doc said if you do tobi or colistin first then you just cough it out when you do hs, that defeats the purpose

Here is what I do I use my inhalers first (Combivent and Advair) then I do my pulmozyme, then the HS then the Vest, then if Im on Tobi I do that, if not then Im done with the treatments, also when I do my treatment in the evening time its all the same except for pulmozyme (Since you can only do that one, one time a day)
