HELP.Pain in Sinuses while coughing and sick.

I have been doing all my treatments, a nose rinse and nose sprays. I have been on Cypro since Wendsday. I do plan to call the doctor ASAP...
I was wondering if anyone else has sinus when they are sick. Right now, every time I cough the area in the corner of my eyes hurt and makes it hard to cough up stuff because my sinues hurt when I cough. My neck is a little bit stiff maybe to sinuses and coughing.
I have been taking hot baths to soothe the pain and have a sinus mask that I heat up and put it on my face.
Any other suggustions for momentary relif until the doctor calls me back.
Thanks alot!
God bless!

Can you take motrin? I take motrin or tylenol (either one works for me) to help relieve the pain. I take 600 mgs of motrin when I start to feel the pain. Have you tried ice packs? Sometimes the ice helps my sinus pain too.

I get tons of sinus pains when I am sick or having bad allergies. It sucks!

Get some Sudafed.

Not the OTC kind, the kind you have to get behind the counter (pseudoephedrine).

It will open up your nasal turbinates, relieving pressure and allowing the extra mucus that's causing the pain to drain.

Also, stand in the shower at let the steam help open you up as well.

Try both and it should help <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
