HELP.. PICC question

I have never had a double picc only a single one, but I have had alot of clots. I agree with everything that people have said. Move your arm aroud. Try to push thru a little bit of heprin and pull back. After each flush I always end with heprin and keep it in the line to try to prevent clots. Now they tell you that you dont need heprin b/c the piccs and the ports are designed to shut off so that there is no blood flow back into the line. I have one of those in right now and just pulled out a beautiful blood clot out of my line this afternoon. Even thou they do tell you that you dont need it I always use it!!

aside from moving your arm around, try turning your head to the far left or far right, also, a small cough or large breath in while trying to flush or draw may help if it is a locational problem. I have learned to ALWAYS flush with heparin after the saline, The only time I have ever gotten a clot is when I forgot to flush with the heparin.
