Help wiht Depression

I don't suffer from depression, but I've been diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder. I take Atavan when needed. I try to control my attacks, but when they become too much I will take a med. I find with the Atavan that if I take it before bed I sleep straight through the night and wake up in the morning feeling slightly hung over, and if I take it during the day, about 1-2 hours after taking it I feel drowsy and need a bit of a nap. But it does the trick in a pinch. I have an appointment coming up with a pschyologist in the coming months and we're going to talk about putting me on something that I'll take everyday instead of when needed, because I just have way too many attacks to be popping a pill every few hours.

If you have been on several anti-depressants and they have "pooped" out or haven't worked at all, if you have variations in mood that include depression, irritability and anxiety, you might want to ask your doctor/psychiatrist/therapist about soft bipolar disorder. This is not the severe level of bipolar but somewhere between the depression-bipolar spectrum and treatment is a bit different than for unipolar depression. A good book is "Why am I still depressed?" by Jim Phelps. Hang in there. Make sure you do not isolate yourself and talk to someone you trust.

I have a few essential oils that really help calm me down. I love lavender and to me it is like drinking a glass of wine. here is a link if you have never heard of them. You just apply to pulse points and it works quickly.
