My husband just had his gallbladder removed a week ago. He got really bad chest pain and it was mainly around his gallbladder area. He ate pizza the night before which irritated the gallbladder and put him in the most worse pain ever! We went to the ER and they done an ultra sound and it showed that it was diffanatley his gallbladder and they said the only thing to fix it was to remove it.
The ultra sound shown that it had mush or mud like substance in his gallbladder and after they removed it the surgeon told us that it was a good thing that it got taken out cause the lining of his gallbladder had tiny pebbles like sand all around it and if he didnt get it taken out then he would of still had problems with it. He is feeling tons better now and has been able to eat anything he wants but he has to watch the really greasy foods now cause those will make him go number 2 and have soft stools. I told him that he gets go through what I go through if I don't take my enzymes, assuming his stools get so soft they become greasy.
Also I have heard that if your gallbladder gets so bad that it could burst inside you and when that happens it releases the toxins onto your other organs which then makes them want to shut down, its like having gang green, you could die from it if you don't get medical attention right away, and then your in ICU until its all cleared up, that doesnt sound very fun and its a very scary ordeal. I didnt mean to scare ya but its possible. Also did you know your gall bladder is the size of your thumb?
