hemoptysis vs. birth control

I know there has been alot of discussion related to this topic already but I was wondering if any of you ladies have discovered any alternatives yet.

I have had hemoptysis on and off for years and have noticed that when i am on birth control it seems to disapear all together. I have to take it 24/7 and skip my periods for it to work though.

But i am tired of the side affects of the birth control ie. low libido etc.

Have any of you ladies learned of any other alternative that seems to help the same way as birth control?
If so, what have you tried?
Does birth control help your hemoptysis too?

I sent my Dr an email to see what he says and when he gets back to me I will post it here for others with the same prob.
Thanks

Khristina, I will be interested to hear what your doctor thinks - please update the thread when you get the information. I don't know as much about hemoptysis and hormones as I would like.

I haven't had a period since 9/2006. I was pregnant for 9 months of it and then have been breastfeeding for the last 11 months. I have a point to this post - just keep reading. Some woman's period comes back while they are breastfeeding but mine has not. At this point I'm only providing 1/3 of my son's daily milk intake and yet my period still has not come back. It's possible to lactate even when you have not had a baby. Could you consider bringing in your milk supply and seeing if it discontinues your period? It may be a minimal twice a day pumping that you have to do for this glorious outcome...or it may not go away at all.
