Sorry you're going through this. I'm kinda new to bleeds myself and they're terrifying.

Anyway, with regard to the bronch, I just had my first one about a month ago and there was nothing to it (other than my doc being nearly 3 hours late so I just layed there on the table waiting with the numbing med already in my throat and nose and my IV in.)

By the time my doc got there, he just numbed my nose really good (it had worn off from before) and they gave me conscious sedation, so though I was apparently awake and able to follow directions, I don't remember any of it. I did start coughing in the middle of it and had a lung bleed (totally normal, I'm told, but I also had a lavage, where they squirt saline into your lung cavities), and I vaguely remember coughing, but not feeling the tube or anything. More ilke I was coughing during my sleep or something and just barely awake.

No worries. It will go fine. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> And, hopefully they can get to the source of the bleed. That is very frustrating to not know why we bleed and when it will happen. ((hugs))

I had this issue around this time last year--for me what I did was a decreased my pulmozyme treatment to every other day, and started a strict vitamin regimen of Vitamin K, C, D, and omega 3s. I also take an ADEK twice a day. I take Zithromyacin (supposed to relieve inflammation) and over the course of the year the hemo subsided. So I don't know if it was one thing or a combination of all 3, but I haven't had any problems since!
