You ever see that show on comedy central called wanderlust? For some reason when I think of you (before viewing pics), I think of the guy in that show.

By the way, I went to Bangkok too about fifteen years ago. WOW what a great picture. I was not that brave to take a picture like that. Instead I got on an elephant.

Hi Risa,

to be honest: I´m quite lazy most of the time... And we have also been in an elephant camp, where I laid down on the ground, an elephant standing over me, massaging my back with his foot.

Hi Melissa,

I watched something on tv about the tiger temple and since then I wanted to go there! The monks started with an orphan tiger cub and raised it and suddenly they got more cubs to take care of. Because the tigers are so tame, animal planet made a film and from there on tourists came to watch. The tigers got cubs themselves and so on. They plan to build a big area where they can live and be watched and want to try to put the new cubs back in the wild. For that reason and feeding the tigers they collect money and use the entrance fee of 300 Baht, which is about 6 Dolllars. They have a website: www.tigertemple.org
During my vacation with a friend we made some excursions, for exampe to the River Kwai Bridge, which is in the same region as the temple and I asked the travel agent, if we could go to the tiger temple and he said yes!
I loved it! The tigers are free, no cage or anything and somebody leads you to one after the other, you can touch them and they take photos with your own camera.
