Funny Sandy, I was thinking that too. My Grandma brought me to see it when I was 5!

That is to cool......my goal is to one day go to Austria. Probably when I am old and gray, I have a pen-pal there. We have been writing since I was in the 6th grade and I am now 35 so years, alot of years! We don't write near as often as we used to but we try now at least 2 times a year, compared to the what used to be monthly.

I went to the Swiss Alps last year and when I was there I never felt better. The air is amazing and even though we were so high I could breath better then I do normally.

Its beautiful over there!

Have you heard about the Sound of Music events, sort of like the Rocky Horror Picture Show - you can come dressed up as a Sound of Music character to watch the movie and stand up and sing along!

anon-No I haven't heard about those events! But I'd totally do it! I bought a dirndle when I was there (traditional Austrian dress) and teeny tiny Leiderhosen for my future son. (to store away for whenever that is..)

I know that Andrew Lloyd Weber is re-creating SOM for London's Broadway! It's coming out this winter and he's currently looking for the actress to play Maria. I would fly to London just to see it.

Have you saved all your letters? You should write to Good Morning America or something, tell them youve had this pal for all these years and let them cover your story. Maybe they'll give you a free trip?! Where is Austria is your penpal? Just wondering, b/c we did a tour of most of the country, maybe we went there?
