Welcome home Christian--sounds like you had a "simply wonderful time"! It must have been breath-taking looking at the scenery! My mom took me to the "Sound of Music" for my 16th birthday! Now who's the oldest! I'm glad you had a good time.

So glad you had such a wonderful time.

Piece of trivia : A Japanees cinema manager had the sound of music for his picture house, he decided that the film was too long so he cut out all the songs.
now thats my idea of a film lol

Fourkidsmom-No we didn't go there, but surprisingly, we did see the road sign for it!! I think its a pretty small town, no?

Amy-We passed the Red Bull hanger while on the SOM tour, and I remember it distinctly b/c my hubby (who drinks red bull every day-me personally, eww...) said as we passed it-'I wish I was touring that right now instead of this.' That was into the 2nd hour of the SOM tour, with 2 more hours to go. lol. And I can't believe this, but we DID go to Carpe Diem! I guess its a believable coincidencce b/c its in a pretty main part of town. I didn't want to go there, b/c I'm more into the old-style restaurant. But my hubby was schnitzle'd out-so we had a lite lunch there. Good food. And yes, the break from sausages was nice. I didn't know Red Bull owned it-makes sense now, dur.

One of the coolest things we did in was Vienna-we saw the Lipizzaner horses. (for any who aren't familiar with them, they are very famous show stallions that do amazing foot maneuvers) Anyway, my great great uncle-which I think was around the late 1890s-was a master trainer of them. So when I mentioned that to the tour guide, she let me access the riding school's archives, and I found his name there. That was cool. It's funny, b/c I only learned of this ancestor a few years ago, meanwhile I have 7 horses, my cousin owns like 15 and is a trainer.

So is the love of horses genetic? Who knows-but I think so! The love of sound of music must be!!!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">
