Normal is relative. What we consider normal is much more than the average person could put up with.

Im sever CF and I don't feel as good as I used to after a cleanout. But overall I feel stronger and less coughing, producing less and more hydrated after coming off the drugs( IV) . The IV drugs make my stomack real upset so when I come off them I in general feel better.
It doesn't last but a few weeks though. Then Im all congested again.

great question by the way. Im new to the site , and Im so impressed with the intellegence level on this forum. Cream of the Crop I tell ya. We may be missing a few things in our bodies but there is nothing wrong with our minds. Not that I was expecting a bunch of loonies but I am so impressed and have enjoyed surfing the questions and really feel so good about some things I have heard. It is so nice to connect with others with CF,. Thank you for being so honest and articulate. No dancing around the subject .

do you ever feel like you don't have a lung alimante

Yes, but it's always one extreme or another with me. I either feel fine...no cough...no breathlesness...no congestion...all seems normal. Or I feel completly messed up and can't do anything. My fev's are about 34% right now and I don't feel too bad at all
