how do cf people know other cf people?

Well I would probably ask a nurse or your doctor to tell the person w/ CF that someone else w/ CF wants to meet them and to ask if they are interested (legally they can't tell you who they are). Personally I really enjoyed meeting other CFers (I went to CF camp as a late teen for a few years). If I were in your shoes I would go for it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I was nervous & still am a bit when I meet another CFer, but I love that connection.. I am always as careful as possible..

I have met ppl here first on line, then met some of them in person.. You do have to be careful & know what bugs each other has so you could decline if you are not willing to take that chance..
