I definitely know how you feel. My PFTs were pretty good until my freshman year of college, i was away from my parents, who did all my PT and pushed me to do my treatments early...I definitely skipped out on my morning PT and sometimes my treatments. I ended up getting really sick and my pfts dropped and never came back up. The doctors thought it was cause I wasnt taking care of myself...I felt that I was. So I took a sem off and went back home, the cycle didnt change, I kept going into the hosp every other month.
I guess there are just some things that will happen no matter what. You can't control them. Maybe you could if you stayed home all day and did nothing but PT and eat and treatments. But then you would be missing out on life, just think of all the fun you had on that trip. You might as well make the most out of your life, even though we have a limited amount of time. Would you wrather go through your life missing out on your dreams and things you want to do. Thats what I think about.
I dont know if this helps.
