How do you know it is time for a vest?

We have been using the vest from age 15 months, it's as soon as they are big enough to wear one.

Trevor will be one in July and just got his vest. He does pretty good with it. We have only had it for a few days. He does it twice a day for 15 mins at a time. I love it because I feel like it is so much more effective than me doing manual CPT. Our clinic said that they recommend them around one. I would definetly ask about it and try to get as soon as possible...

We started with CPT twice a day when he was week old as a preventative. When he's sick we go up to four times a day. We received the vest 5 months ago (CPT was becoming a struggle)and LOVE it! No more aching arms/wrists, no more battles. We started at 15 minutes 2x a day and are up to 25 minutes 2x day with the ultimate goal of 30 minutes. I would definitely question the CF center about getting a vest.
