Living with cf can be taxing, especially if you try not to let it dominate life as most of us here seem to aim for. So what do you do to allow you to get on with life a bit...enjoying the good things in life so to speak. After all if you work full time or even if you don't just getting the things done to stay healthy..eating well, treatments, exercise, medicine ordering, etc. can leave little time for hobbies, playtime, pursuing your dreams, and showing the one's you love how much you do care for them.
Two things I recently have done are;
1) hired a cleaning lady who comes in once a month and kicks dust/germ butt. She uses the hard hitting stuff I only wish in my wildest dreams to clean with. Really it's the best investment I've made in a long time.
2) Also, I have started ordering my groceries online. It was a nice surprise to find that we actually save money doing this...even with a $10 delivery fee. I'm not sure why but I think it's because it's so easy to see what the best deal is online. When at the store it's easy to get bamboozled by the bright colors and hard to read price tags. Online (acmemarkets.com) it's spreadsheet like and makes total sense to me. Not to mention the time savings. Each order is saved and I can reference past lists and check off items I want to buy again without even having to search. I'm sure staying away from the germs at the grocery store will help me in the long run too. Also, there's a whole lot less whim buying.
