How low is too low?

I don't know any answers to your questions but I do know that there was a guy who I talked to a lot on transplantbuddies who had adopted a son not too long before his transplants. He and his wife had had him in foster care previously to adopting him.

My only chance at having another child is to adopt or surrogate. At this point, I'm not sure which one I would choose, but I would hope that I would be able to adopt if I wanted to.

We have been with the state of TN foster care for a year and a half now and in the past have looked into domestic adoption. Everyone said that they had no problems with my cf as long as my doctor had signed the medical release and supported us. No one ever mentioned anything about my lung function levels. We have found everyone to be very supportive and helpful.

My lung function was at 75% and my CF doc signed something stating that I was in good health for the forseeable future. I would think after transplant would be even easier.
