I have also had success with Weight Gainer shakes from GNC. Each mixed shake contains about 2500 calories. Good luck with your weight gain!</end quote></div>

OMG, i've never heard of a drink that contained 2500 calories. Couldn't that be the answer to so many people who suffer from poor weight? Any more info on these drinks? Side effects? I live in The Netherlands.. they probably don't have them here...

I tried this a few years back. I actually still have some even tho I will never use it. To get the calories of 2500 at one time it is like a thick shake.

I am not big on shakes, ice cream etc so it was difficult for me to get it all down without some MAJOR dilution which ended up requiring tons of drinking.

I originally tried it because someone from my clinic had put tons of weight on with it. Its a GNC product that came in a HUGE container (huge, but would imagine if its liked wont last long because you need a lot of powder to gete the 2500 calories) & I got from my local pharmacy.

As to the original ??, Anne....I dont know how many I average, but know that its not near enough. I have grown to hate eating & have never been a snacker. It got harder with my CFRD dx too.

Good Luck in the weight gain

Oh no, you did NOT go there <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

I think I typically get around 3000 cal in M in a day. But he's 7 and its a fight to get that in him. I typically give 2 cans of Pediasure per day with a ton of chocolate syrup to boost the calories. I don't know how I'll continue to get more in him as he gets bigger.
