I had a collasped lung in April of this year, first one ever. I was just sitting on my bed, taking my meds when it happened. My PFTs were at 32% and I'm not on oxygen. They told me it was just happened, they couldnt say exactly why. I felt like I was starting to have a flare up, but I wasnt sure. They gave me some pointers to help me so it would have less of a change to happen again. They also told me it could be the only one I will ever have, or I could have more. I've been stable with my PFTs for years before my collaspe, and I remained the same after the collaspe. I didn't loose any lung function (thank god), the Drs seemed a little surprised by that.
