My record was 13 at once (all in one swallow). Now I can typically take 7 at once (enzymes usually). But I try to limit them to 3 or 4 at once when I am not in a hurry. It seems the older I get the harder it is to swallow 7 at once without having a coughing fit afterwards due to it feeling like a pill is stuck in my throat.

My evening meds are more than the am. At dinner I would take 5 enzymes, 1 calcium, 1 ABDEK, 1 Nexium, 1 Bactrim, 1 iron, 2 vitamin K, 3 phenobarbital, 1 Zithro. That is only 16. It sure seems like a lot when they are sitting in my hand LOL!

My friends just stare if they see me take them. One of my friends
boyfriend saw all the pills I took in a day and calculated how many
I would take in my life if I stayed at that many. 1.4 million.

I can't take much more than 3-4 at any given time (even the small creons)... but, I guess I've not really tried either. lol You guys ROCK! I cannot believe you can take all those pills at one time!
I also wanted to mention as a sidenote that azithromycin (zithromax) orally is NOT supposed to be taken with or around the same time as any antacid. My meds have just started carrying that warning label. So, I never take my Nexium at the same time or even within the same hour of Azithromycin. It would have been nice to know this back when I started taking it, but maybe they didn't know back then??? I used to take them together all the time, but NOT anymore. We need the medicinal powers of both to work as they're supposed to. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

i take about 15 pills in the morning, but not all at once. i have never tried to see the maximum i can take, but i can do 3 "horse pills" and probably not more than 10 enzymes. like lindsey, i prefer to take the similar sized ones together.
fred, something you said was something i've wondered before: do people need more enzymes when they are sick? i think i noticed this last time i got sick for the first time in my life.
