10,000 MG of Vit. C each day - take 2,000 MG and repeat every 4 hrs. - drink tons of water and if you work out continue to through this period. Also the obvious wash hands often and don't touch your eyes or nose unless you've just washed them. Don't use group towels only paper towels or personal towel to dry hands. Make sure to sleep well - 8 hrs.
The thing to do is do not be a FOFO. That means do not freak out before you find out. Stay away from your roomate and keep your hands away from your face besides keeping them very clean. Tell your roomate to use a tissue if they cough and to please wash their hands after coughing or sneezing.
DO not stress out as that will run you down and you will be making matters worse for yourself. Stay away from sugars because that too will run you down too. Eat healthy and get your rest and get out of the house when you can. keep your air condition on and clean the air filter.
If you leave in such tight quaters then wear a mask or ask them to weawr a mask when they are around you.
Do not miss any treatments and keep your lungs extra clean as if you do get a cold it will not land you in trouble
Spray Lysol everywhere and on everything. I did this when my college roomate got a cold. And if you roomate could confide him/her self to not spread the germs that would be really helpful. Wash hands, do not share anything.
if she sneezes, make sure she sneezes into her hands.
wash YOUR hands all the time.
don't pick you nose. wash your hands before you eat.
colds aren't airborne. you have to touch something that she has touched after she sneezes or picks her nose or coughs...in a finite timeframe.
just be aware about what your'e doing with your hands and you'll be good.
oh yes, and decrease sugar consumption and increase vegetable instake to boost your immune system. think happy thoughts - your brain has a great deal of control over your bodily functions as well.
Years ago I would cough in public into my shirt. Sounds kind of funny when you lift your tee shirt through the collar to cough but if the whole world would this wouldn't that be great<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Airborne is a medicine that was developed by a teacher so as to not get sick in the classroom or anywhere else. A lot of people swear by it. It is a dissolvable pill that you put into water and then drink.
