How well do you smell?

im like noexcuses. i can smell everything! my dad is a blacksmith and he jokes about me being able to tell how many horses he shoed that day just by smelling him. plus with a sinus surgery in my path my sense of smell will just get better. i dont really understand how i smell so well being as i have a lot of sinus issues.

I have really no sense of smell. I haven't been able to smell much of anything for probably about a decade or so.

It is really kind of sad because there are some things that I honestly don't know what they smell like because I can't recall ever smelling them.

As for the bad things I can't smell those either.

One thing that I can say I DO smell though are salted foods - like popcorn and french fries. I am not really sure why but I have always been able to smell those - especially popcorn.

My sense of taste is VERY sensitive as well so I am not sure how much of that sense of smell and sense of taste being tied together is true. People have always asked me that but I love food and can taste even the slightest seasonings sometimes.

I couldn't smell them but they started talking to me and I started coughing and hacking and couldn't figure out why. I thought it was maybe juststrong cologne or something. I had to step back about 3-4 feet to catch my breath. When the person left I asked my coworker if he stank and she just grinned and nodded - so I am assuming THAT is why I was coughing and semi choking when I was dealing with him because as soon as he left I was fine within minutes.
