Best advice I've ever received from a doctor was to focus on the things I can control and let go of the things I can't. I can control how many breathing treatments I do per day, how many calories I eat, how often and what kinds of exercise I do, if I want to do IV's or not, what people to spend my time with, if I want to be in a relationship, etc. Can't control what my lung function is (directly), if or when I will need a transplant, etc. Understandable to freak out about such a huge unknown but heck, why not focus on the more knowns than crystal ball Q's? I can only say that b/c my favorite Q's at every doc appt are the crystal ball ones
