I'm so sorry he's in and feeling so badly! How frustrating to have not seen someone from the cf team yet! I get aggravated that the regular pulmonary doctors bother to come into my room on rounds- some are so clueless, I want to just pull the covers over my head until they go away; otherwise, it is too depressing and aggravating to think that guy's name is on my chart... .

I will be praying that they get him sorted out and feeling better asap!

Things are the same with my husband. They are giving him both cephtaz and colistin right now. He asked them to start reducing his pain meds so they are switching him from IV demoral to oral. The tentative plan is to send him home tomorrow if the sputum culture doesn't show anything abnormal.

As for me, for some reason I have been exhausted all day. I went to the gym this morning and came home intending to shower and then go over to the hospital. Instead I laid down for a "minute" that turned into 2 1/2 hours! I went to the hospital and then came home to take care of some things and took another 3 hour nap! It is crazy!

Thanks again for all of the good thoughts and prayers being sent our way!

I relate Blond! I took my wife (no cf) to the ER Wednesday morning at 3am. It was obvious to me she had pneumonia. I haven't had a good nights sleep since then. Maybe I will tonight.

I hope you feel well, take care of you! The spouses aren't much good without us!

If I had a hat it would be off to all of you spouses that are taking care of your loved one. What sacrifice and love you are showing....a wonderful example of giving with the heart. I hope that everything works out for you and that Gessner can be weaned off the major pain killers, and have the pain still be under control. I hope you get more sleep--you are exhausted. I am thinking of you both.
