Husband in Hospital

So, my husband got admitted last night. He has been in a lot of pain and generally not feeling well. The weird thing about it is that he just finished a course of antibotics and isn't having some of this other exacerbation symptoms (like increased sputum, etc.). So far they have run labs, done a chest xray, and took a sputum culture. Right now they are giving him pain meds (demoral) and giving him fluids (he has been vomitting and not eating a lot, so has losts 4.5 pounds this week so far). Not sure what is in the works right now, but I hope that they can figure out what is causing him so much pain and make him more comfortable.

On a side note, I get so frustrated with the current system of dealing with CF patients through admissions to the hosptial....watch for a blog containing a rant <img src="">

Aww I'm sorry Lisa!!

Hopefully they figure out what is wrong and get him back on his feet!!!

I hate being admitted! Sometimes they just have the most unqualified people running the show!!!

I am sorry to hear this!

What type of pain/where is the pain? Has he had it before? I am guessing not. I hope they find answers & he gets relief!

HUGS to both of you!
