Hi there. My husband has all the symptoms of CF and has struggled for a while now. he's been getting worse and the doc won't give us the sweat test or the blood test b/c we don't have Health Insurance at the moment. I own a dance studio and am self-employed and just cant afford it for both of us. We are looking into getting some though soon and the doc has already told us he pretty much knows he has it. He hasn't been able to work his job as a Satellite Tech b/c he's too sick. Any suggestions on Health Insurance and something he could do maybe from home? He's very experienced with Computers. Thanks

You could try aflac. There pollicies are really weird but it might be an option for you just to get the sweat test and then you can go from there.

I can't answer on the job question, but as for health insurance - what state do you live in? There are one or more states (California is one) that offer state insurance just for those with CF - they cover everything cf related. It's basically an adult version of Crippled Childrens Services. I think Texas is another, but not too sure about that.
