we just recently changed insurance and the new insurance (blue cross) didnt' cover hypersal, is it something that you can go complain about and get them to cover it or are you just stuck with paying the 60 dollars or whatever it is?

Im not sure if you can dispute it or not Robert. My ins. covers it.. I can't imagine that an ins co wouldn't cover something that is so effective (at least for me it is) & cheap compared to other inhaled meds..

I would ask the social worker at your clinic to check it out for you.. She/he may be able to help.

Take care <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> joni

I have BCBS and they covered the hypersal for my daughter. Unfortunately it still costs $50.00 a month.

Same for me with BCBS, but it may depend on the state's BCBS program as I'm not sure all meds are covered the same? I also have a high out-of-pocket expense for it, but Tricare picks up that amount.... Thank goodness.
