I agree with emily, has your doc got a large scar running across the front of his forehead??? where they removed his brain and inserted rocks? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> just kidding, but really, he's talking nonsense. perhaps what he 'meant' to say, is that the studies were done with a 7% solution so he is not convinced of the 'efficacy' of a lower percentage. Hey, it probably won't clear as much junk at 3%, but if you can tolerate it better you may just be able to work your way up to 7% gradually.

I only started HS about two weeks ago, straight onto 7% and oh my god, i can hardly breathe for an hour or so afterwards and now spend a good part of my mornings choking on great big globs of mucus as it comes up - not pretty and doesn't feel good. I have clinic tomorrow and we are going to look at our options.

Interestingly, we are told to NEVER to HS through an e-flow over here as apparently it blocks up the filters etc and they break down a lot quicker. I use a normal nebuliser for HS but am getting en e-flow shortly for my Pulmozyme. I'm told all meds work way better through the e-flow, so the thought of doing a 7% HS solution through an eflow makes me break out in a cold sweat.......EEEEEEKKKKK!!!!
