Why not?</end quote></div>

I am sure Amy will say it has to do with the sterility.

The head of therapy at my clinic told me I could put the vials (I dont use syringes to dispense) in a disposable paper cup with a disposable baggie over it to use again.

I would imagine if your refridgerator is gross or you keep it for too lengthy of a time it would be at higher risk.

Thanks, yes, that's what she said (I pm'd her <img src=""> ). I only use the syringes to store it in, since I figured it was the cleanest way (then I've been putting it in a zippy in the 'fridge). So you just save your leftover 10%, and not the mixed 7%? I don't save any of it for more than 24 hrs.

This stuff is so cheap, guys, It's not pulmozyme.

Throw the vial out when you're done and use a new one.

Why risk contamination?!

I am not currently using HS, but when I did...YES I kept the 10% vial & the 3% vial. It was not mixed yet. I mixed when I put it into the neb cup.

I have to say that even tho my family isnt living paycheck to paycheck that even a $10. copay can make a difference some months. When you have as many meds as we do....it adds up as you know. YES going into the hospital can be costly also, but I dont advocate keeping these vials for weeks on end. I realize to you there is no such thing as a safe amount of time. I respect your views and appreciate your concerns. I just want to let people realize that sometimes we have to do things that are "questionable" to get by. Its not always cut and dry!!

OK... got a call late last night that although Walgreens had SAID they could order the 10% for me, they cannot. Their supplier does NOT have the stuff and she said she even called them and they were not able to pull up the 10% with the NDC or anything. So, now I"m back to square 1. Urgh. This is extremely frustrating. I will start calling pharmacies today, I guess. I hope I can get it... My last resort is to go on the waiting list at CFS, which is NOT my first choice! Ridiculous.
