Hypertonic saline

How awesome that you had the increase! YAY!

I just started it approx. 2 weeks ago, and I am honestly able to take a deeper breath than I have been able to in a LONG time. I was coughing up some junk that I could tell had been in there a while. (eew) I'm excited to do PFTs in March and see if there was any change at all.

We are newly dianosed (December 2007). Our daughter Taylor is 7 but suffers from sever lung infections and coughing attacks, no pancreatic sympotoms thus far and we have been able to avoid enzymes. I am wondering why we are not being given the hypertonic saline. Did you have to ask your doctors for it? We go to CF clinic on Tuesday so I will be sure and ask but do you also to the vest, albuterol and pulmyzime?
