Hypertonic saline

So I was mixing up my hs this morning. I haven't done it in a loong time because I wasn't really doing it much before and then I got TOBI and just came off my month regime of that - and as long as that took to neb there is no time with kids running around to do the HS too - but now that I am in a neb routine I figured I'd do TOBi one month, HS the next...ANYWAY

that isn't the point. the point is, I was mixing up the saline with one of those huge 14ga or whatever they are mixing syringes and I sort of dropped the syringe and so in a knee jerk (literally) reaction, I tried to "catch" the syringe with my legs...well, you can guess what happened - yup - the needle went straight in right near my knee - I mean it was buried to the hilt. It almost made me feel ill to pull it out - and I have given myself injections before, but I was expecting that - this was....ugh. I am guessing since it was a sterile needle I don't need to worry about anything, right?

I wouldnt think you should have any problems except a sore muscle from the jerk you gave when it hit LOL!

I didnt use the syringes when doing my HS, but I can see how it would happen!

Oh, gosh, that made me weak in the knees (no pun intended!)...

Glad it didn't do any more damage than that! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
