Hypoallergenic PICC dressing

Hi all!
I am currently on IV meds amd have a PICC (for the millionth time.) Almost every time that I have a PICC, my skin develops an awful rash and blisters under the dressing. I tried some of the IV 3000 dressing, which is hypoallergenic. I still get a rash. Has anyone had any luck with another type of dressing?
Thanks!<img src="i/expressions/iv.gif" border="0">

I don't get rashes, but my skin actually comes off in several layers every time the dressing changed with tegaderm. Then they rub alcohol all over the open wound. Great fun really!

I haven't tried it yet, but heard "OpSite" is good. My nurse also said they use different dressing for pediatrics. She was going to grab me a stash the next time she was working there in the hospital. I don't know the name, but maybe ask what they use for peds?

I HATE tegaderm! It literally eats up my skin. This time around (I'm on IVs right now) I had the nurse put a square of gauze in the middle of the dressing, and put the tegaderm over that. So at least the middle part of the dressing is getting a "break" this week.
