When I get the inevitable "Where do you see yourself in 10 years" question, should I go with the always knee slapper of "Doin your wife", or "Askin for more tater tots behind Leon in Starke prison?". I need some suggestions here guys.

Okay, look. For all of you who are in an uproar for whatever reason about this, life's too short (as I'm sure we all know). Allie and Sean were having fun, that's all. I don't see anything wrong with it. They've already said it wasn't serious and that it was just an idea that popped in their heads in the middle of the night. I'm sure we've all had those (I know I have!). There are bigger things to concern yourselves with than this, honestly. Don't take life so seriously 24/7.

Oh, and to the anonymous troll...go **** yourself (assuming that's possible for you, considering you don't have the manhood to leave a name, either).

Anyone who has ever played D&D knows you can attack trolls all day long, but they keep coming back. You gotta use fire on trolls to totally vanquish them. I'm makin molotok cocktails now if anyone wants one.

Seana,

Glad you saw it, I wasn't sure if you would come back to this post or not

I just have to say this because it is really bothering me... I don't think that joking around and playing and such is a bad thing, but I really found this really disturbing and disgusting, joke or serious.

Sean, I've said this before, you are a funny guy and you have lots of comical things to say but I know I've also mentioned to you, as others have.... that there is a time and place fore everything. And more often than not you are becoming more and more inappropriate. You are going to do what you do, I know that, but I would feel like I wasn't doing myself justice if I didn't mention it.

I think that if you get enough Tequila in Julie, she just might go out of turn in a crazy game of twister

I think its time to move on to a new topic.

A game is just a game. But, mabye you should have put your game in the off-topic section. I'm kinda split here, b/c I don't want to be a prude. And there was no harm done here. Other than a few people (including myself) being worried for Allie for a couple hours. Which counts for something.

But I agree with Julie too. B/c-and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings-but-"testing" the moderator/site to see how long until youre going to get blocked is very childish. Like playing ring the doorbell and run. Come on.

And, I'm getting a teeny bit tired of reading things that don't pertain to CF issues. I come here to relate to people, learn and have adult conversations. I've been seeing alot of stuff here-in the adult section-that I don't care to read, or is just petty nonsense. It's made me think a few times about moving on from here.

Anyway-just my opinion.

Good points. It wasn't to test the moderator though, we were hoping it didn't get locked before we could have fun with a silly version of "who's on first", for entertainment purposes.

I should probably start posting exclusively in the off topic forum, because after 35 years of CF, aside from current advances or natural substances to treat the disease (new ones anyways), i'm really sick of CF in general. I feel that I feel much better as a person both mentally and physically to not even bring it up unless it's to help others.

Okay, no offence, Christian, but this kind of bothered me. I was actually getting tired of seeing NOTHING but CF issues here, and yes, duh, it's a CF forum, but talking about all the annoying/bad stuff all the time without any humor or otherwise gets, well, boring and somewhat depressing. I've stopped posting so often because there's just nothing that grabs my attention like there used to be. I mean, I'm all for asking questions and such, but its nice to hear some other things, too.

And also, (this is for everybody) there seem to be people here that have little to no sense of humor, which is fine, just don't ruin it for everyone else that likes to have fun once in a while. If its not your kind of humor, fine, but don't flame someone else for it. I see a lot of people especially busting on SeanDavis for such things. If you don't like his brand of humor, don't read his posts. I still don't understand what's so difficult about that for some people here. And no, I'm not praising him or really defending him, but his situation is a good example to use for some of the stiff-necks on this site.

Anyway, I guess if I have to resort to posting on the Off-Topic Forum exclusively, that's fine, but what a shame...

I actually enjoy seeing some off topic humour on here. It seems that sometimes its always about 'who is me, I have CF - I"m depressed, blah, blah...', and that's find sometimes, but sometimes I need a laugh, and I appreciate the humour that most people have on here. I love the fact that this forum isn't always so serious.

I'm very funny...hardy har har...

Listen I'm not saying that there shouldn't be 'non cf' things brought up at all. That there shoudn't be jokes. I'm all for a knee slapper.

I just think this one in particular was dumb. But-that is my opinion only. And to take offense to the opinion of one person is.....I can't think of what the word is.

Anyway-I didn't mean to cause offense to anyone. I was simply stating my opinion. I'm certainly not offended when people tell jokes or talk about non cf things on here. They can say whatever they want.

I was just giving another side to it, another opinion.

But if it makes anyone feel better...........ha ha ha. What a funny joke.

I think everyone should just click on my sig and turn on some funny 70's era sitcom music themes to go with it. Like sanford and son, good times, jeffersons, or what's happening. And no i'm not being racist, it's just that those shows had the coolest theme songs, and they go real good with willis dancing.

I guess I come from different places on the internet. Places like fark, something awful, and similar sites where it's just generally silliness and laughs very often. Sometimes I forget this is a mostly serious site (and for good reason, CF isn't a knee slapping comedy ya know). I explained what happened, Allie and myself screwed the pooch on this one. It would have gotten very funny if it wouldn't have gotten locked, and her and I would have went back and forth like what she started, and then seeing random posters here like Julie or anyone else (especially females) take it serious and say things like "Sean I can't believe you flew out to Allie's house and peed on her front doorknob, you are horrible!", and then Allie/me respond with even more silliness, to the point where people would get it even if they totally didn't find it funny. Some things work, some things don't.

My sense of humor aside, I do think quite a few of you guys are way too serious. To me while the internet can be a massive source of good information regarding our conditions and also offer communities and tons of serious stuff, it has just way too much potential for goofiness. Like the lil kid dancing in my sig...While doing my aresols when I got home, I must have laughed in general for a good hour or so. I played the theme song to Good Times and watched him dance over and over and over again and I was splitting a gut. Am I easily entertained? I guess so, but I think there is a reason why I have lived to be 35 and be in my shape, it's because I don't take many things seriously, and always look for humor in everything (even death of non close people to you is funny if done right).

I'll always answer someone if they have a question that I know, or could help with, and I know this is a CF forum, but the never ending different versions of "Everything about me sucks due to this disease" posts is about as much of a turn on for my net browsing time as seeing Wilfred Brimley naked. Who is Wilfred Brimley you ask? Well, Here ya go.

'My name is Wilfred Bimley, and I have Diabetes'. I love that commercial he's in for medical supplies. Love how he says 'Diabetes'. It cracks my boyfriend and I up. LOL.

Yes I love that commercial. Everytime it comes on I say "Damn he isn't dead yet?". I think the commercial would be 1000 times funnier if instead of him sitting in his hunting lodge by the fire, or on his horse ont he ranch, he was naked but in gyno stirups, and kept talking about diabetes while the obgyn examined his body cavities, and he was trying to look all serious, but every few seconds per the doctors diddling about, he would make a cringe face and his voice inflection would change, and he just keeps talking about diabetes. See now, THOSE are the types of ads they need to make. I'd buy ANYTHING regardless if I needed it or the cost, if people had the cajones to make ads that funny.

How about Phyllis Diller in a viagra ad. She could walk butt naked (SCARY) through the entertainment room of an old folks home, past a ton of old men, she looks seductively at them all, and one of the 10 guys gets up with his walker and follows her out of sight. She walks back the other way butt naked with her hair all messed up and clearly out of breath, and she says to the camera while walking by, "I love Viagra"...Then maybe for added bad visuals and to upset the moral people out there, have the old man in his walker follow her the other way out of camera, but with a towel on, with an obvious protrustion live a divining rod for Phyllis Diller, and he winks and flexes his eyebrows like Grocho Marks when he walks by.

I should be in marketing.

LOL. You're funny Sean. My guy and I crack up that the cases of medical supplies he has for his diabetes is actually a case of syrup. That dude does not look healthy at all. I honestly didn't think he was around anymore till I saw the commercials.
