It's 9:30, Sat night, beautiful at that, and here i am, looking up stuff for cf and browsing the cf website.

I wonder what most of my energy would be focused on if i didn't have cf. It would be wierd!!

Well, if I have to be doing nothing with someone else online - then you're the perfect guy to be doing it with Ender...want a couple of slices of pizza?

Funny that you guys mention not having a life, and having pizza!!
My Saturday Nights were mostly spent in front of the tube, waiting for a good movie to come on, cause I didn't have enough money for Video Rentals!!! Rare occasions I'd have the chance and the money to splurge and rent a movie AND order Pizza! The odd thing to this situation is...I was MARRIED! I acutally got a life after my divorce!!
Another thought I had regarding 'having no life', is that if you enjoy what you are doing, it satisfies yourself, then whatever someone says about "getting a life", the reply could be...I have a life, it may not be what someone else may percieve as 'a life', but one that I am comfortable with.
Of course, if you aren't comfortable with that life...there are ways within yourself to find what you want to do.
I'm not always much of a 'people person', so I like some solitude once in a while, and I'm sure if there are those who need people around, they can discover ways to find them out...there...somewhere....
As for the pizza thing, the wife forbids me to have pizza more than twice a year...mostly cause I had a slip of the tongue when I told her about my stomache ache the next day! Oh well, fewer stomache aches for me from too much pizza too often...anyway, you guys enjoy! (BTW, did you order Canadian Bacon on that Pizza???)

I agree with Fred in the part about what you consider having a "life". We are all pretty much home bodies here at the Smith Estate. We do occaisionally venture outside the home, but as a rule prefer to stick nearby. We did go to a local Country Fair last night since it was the last night. We had a ball, but I paid for it with a bit of hemoptysis. I have said it before & I will repeat myself (not unusual to do that tho) that I like my home, my family & the quality time that we have. I much prefer going for a walk with Jazz to feed the ducks/geese up the road or play a game of cards then to run around all the time! Dont get me wrong. I do enjoy my occaisional outing which usually includes 1 beer (more than that & I am out) a bit of dancing, chatting & eating. I have watched many families do tons of running so they have the "experience" of things. Tho I do believe those experiences are good. I am not sure they are really smelling the roses! BTW whats wrong with browsing the forum? I dont think my life would be much different even without CF!

i am such a homebody too!
But I love my little house, its cozy. And staying home more-as opposed to not running around too much-keeps me healthier and its cheap!! So bring on the boring life.

Did I have a life before this site?
I think not, so here's my plight--
To sit before a tiny screen,
Instead of sleeping, and dreaming dreams.
I should go home, I've worked all night-
But another comment yet I write.
And so I'll end with this reply...
I'm finally leaving, so good-bye.

That is a wonderful Job but I am sure you are on your feet a lot.

I think you might have hit the enter button and created spaces.

Fred - I of course ordered mushrooms and canadian bacon! lol.

I'm a huge homebody. I actually prefere staying in, watching tv or a movie and just taking it easy. When I'm coupled up, I find that's what my partner and I usually do. When I'm single I still prefer to do the same, but worry that I won't met anyone sitting on the couch! lol. Even with not working, I'm perfectly content sitting around the house, cleaning, doing banking, running errands, etc. No one seems to understand that I prefere my own company to big groups. Its nothing against my friends or family, I just like being alone most times, or rather just staying in then going to a bar or something. I'm beyond the bar.

Liz- I like Canadian Bacon, Mushrooms and Black Olives on mine!!

Since coming to Japan, I had to learn to deal with intermingling with groups, since that it part of their 'culture'. They all go on vacation together; a company trip together, staying together throughout the entire trip; they (of course) work together; but they also have end of the year and 'bringing in the new year' parties which they do together.
I actually had always been a 'one on one' person, which during high school was tough because I also was often aproaching the girls I liked without having an audience (to ridicule me, etc.).
One Honest point to make...at least I'm not UNSOCIABLE...that's the kind of trouble I have with the MIL..she is an un-sociable person...after three weeks away at an old-folks home, I asked her what she did...and all she replied was with 'this and that..', then continued to feed her face...end of conversation! I thought if she remembered something, she'd at least say it, but nothing!
Oddly enough, I am without a job, yet find myself quite busy.
