Thank you all for your replies! I appreciate your input. I have looked into some of the other disorders that could cause a borderline sweat test and he just doesn't fit the bill for the other disorders. I can rule out most of those other disorders. The only one's that I am unsure about are the loooong named disorders that I can't pronounce. He had his genetic test on Saturday morning and they said the results would be back by the end of the week. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for that link. It was very helpful. Out of all of those, CF makes the most sense for his symptoms. Hopefully there still may be a chance that this sweat test was a one time fluke, but how often does that happen with a 51 and 57? If he was just dehydrated, would he test that close to 60? Although I am pretty sure he was not dehydrated when he had the test. Anyway, I am sure I am going to keep going back and fourth like this until the official genetic test comes back. I will keep you posted. Thanks!

If the genetic test comes back negative, make sure you look to see if they did the full panel test. Alot of times they only first test for the most common 20-25 mutations, and some of the mutations that are less common and/or present milder are not discovered until the full mutation panel is run

I will definitely check to see what genetic test they did and will request a full panel if it comes back negative on the most common gene panel. Should I also request a repeat sweat test if the first genetic test comes back normal?
