I want to start the AI Diet

HI all,
First off-miss everyone, hope everyone is doing great and healthy, and keeping up the fight.
I;m great! Baby is great, almost 4 mos now. Loving every minute. I feel good. My do said I have a year to recover my pft's to what they were, and at my 3 mon checkup I was already more than halfway back up so-I am happy with that!

I am thinking of doing the anti inflammatory diet. I am concerned w this winter coming-winter is tough on me, the cold and my asthma don't mix. I go outside and within minutes I choke, literally. I want to build up my pfts, and I hope to have anther little one, but only if I am thriving exactly as I was pre-baby. I am well on the way, but still anything that helps. My cepacia is also flaring, and for me that is always a sign of inflammation. The vicious cycle.

So I looked at all the posts from earlier this year about the Perricone diet and I am going out to get the book today.

Is anyone still doing the diet? How is it going? How long did you do it before you saw results? What have your docs said about it?

Anyone seeing dramatic results with it after long term (or short term, come to think of it) use?

Thanks! I've been away for a while so I need updating.

I've been considering this too. I bought the book last week as a "first step." You probably know dramamama does the AI diet. I think she still does. Well since blogs are not searchable, I'm not sure you've read of recent how mom2lilian has been doing it. She has been great with frequent updates. Check out her blog. Her comments about reducing her caffeine and refined sugar addiction is what seriously got me considering it...not to mention all the data that the inflammation is what really gets us declining.

Yeah!

sometimes I think I am boring everyone to tears wth my updates LOL!

I was just coming here to blog on this diet but I have to wait to this pm, ran out of time!

Quickly I would love some buddies, did terrible past 2 weeks, starting anew tomorrow on day one! Felt loads better doing it, fitting it into active lifestyle is difficult for me now but I am learning. I am all or nothing mentality so need change that. If you are PI definate challenge I lost weight on it while trying not to and I am PS definately doable just matter tweaking.

more later on my blog!

Hey y'all. Neither my daughter nor have been dx yet (within next 2 weeks or so...I'll let you know!)- but whether or not we have CF, we surely have digestive ailments- and I am really intrigued by everyones mentioning of the AI diet. It sounds so positive, to reduce inflammation- and since neither baby or I can handle gluten or dairy very well...it seems a nice fit! Maybe we can all start trying together, or join in? I find this very interesting and inspiring! Do you in fact cut out gluten, dairy, and refined items?? How has it helped everyone so far?
