Ibuprofen to reduce lung inflammation

I had wonderful results from doing the high-dose Ibuprofen (increased PFTs and weight). I did it for 13 years from age 13 to age 26 and just stopped last year to get pregnant. Although, I was having some pretty severe gastric side effects from it. I probably would have had to stop the treatment soon anyways because of that. I was having severe reflux and mild gastritis which was causing me a lot of epigastric pain. My stomach symptoms have been much better now since stopping the Ibuprofen. I will look into starting it again after pregnancy, but not sure I want to deal with the side effects. I had no problems with kidney damage. My doctor was the one who studied the treatment so I felt very confident in being on it since I was being closely watched. It should never be done without being under a doctor's care.

I did it when I was younger, ended up in the hospital for 4 days with a GI bleed. Watch yourself carefully.
