Idea for a Fund-Raiser

We've all seen the 65 Roses calendars with a different floral arrangement for each month. We've seen the Faces of CF calendar that TOBI has done. Let's take that idea and run with it a bit beyond what was prudent...

I came up with this idea and I have no way to implement it. I'm hoping maybe someone will see this post and have the guts to follow through.

What if there was a calendar that was appropriately "adult" in nature, that could help raise awareness of the ever-growing adult population of CFers. I'm not talking Playboy-esque here, but definitely, um, shall we say "artsy"? Something along the lines of those beefcake calendars that the fire department does.

The question is, can we find enough people interested in making this a reality? I know it's a bit "out there" but you never know.

Judging by the photos in the other thread, I'd say you'd have enough gorgeous people for many years of calendars!!!

I'm all for it but you would never catch me in it. Far too self concious and shy. If I can help though let me know.

Actually the use of the word in the whole '65 roses' or 'sixty five roses' is a copyright infringement. It's a copyrighted trademark of the CFF.

Just thought I'd mention.

what does copyright infringement have to do with anything? The thing wouldn't be called 65 roses (c). That was just an example of what other calendars have been done and by whom.

I said 'just thought I'd mention' as in 'in case you wanted to use the name 65 roses bodies of CF' or '65 roses... ' etc.
Never said it <i>was</i> relevent, thus 'just thought I'd mention'

I think its an awesome idea, and Im totally in for it!!! We really should see if we can find a center that would support the idea for their next calender!

I saw the ad for that new show where they take ordinary women and turn them into cover girls. Made me think of this thread. I think it would be really great if some cf women got on that show. Also think that a calendar with guys looking like covers of Vogue and GQ - rather than like looking like Playboy bunnies.

Tattoos seem to be popular.....nude photos showing off CF inspired tats (with "private parts" tastefully covered of course). You could also mix in some photos of transplant scars.

That sounds fabulous. My first thought was naked CFers with roses "strategically" placed. I'd totally be in on that.

And as the person before me said, tattoos, transplant scars, ports, stuff like that, clearly visible. Awesome idea! Now I REALLY want to see it happen!

Oh oh oh, and to echo what Liz said... I'd <b>LOVE</b> to be in one if someone cared to have me in it. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> I've got a port, two CF tattoos, a meconium ileus scar... I'm a very good specimen!! *tries very hard to convince*

Oh, oh - I have tattoos, I have a picc scar. lol. I'd totally love to be in something like this. I think this is a fab idea! I saw this picture once of a girl (can't remember where I saw it), but she was naked except for 2 nintendo controllers covering her b**bs, and the system covering herself down there. I think that would be a cool idea for a pic, except instead of the controlers you could use the TOBI inhalers with the compressor down there. lol.

This is a really great way of making CF look beautiful.

Okay now I wonder. Lgrace, I know it was your idea, but how gung-ho are you about it? Was it just an idea to throw out, or do you really want to take it and work with it to get it done? I don't want to step over my boundaries, but I know sometimes I throw out ideas that come to me that I wouldn't actually follow through with myself. Basically, all I'm saying is, if you don't want to go through the work of doing it, I will contact people myself. Always, of course, giving you credit for the idea. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> If you do actually want to do it all yourself, then I'll sign a petition or whatever else I can do to help. Haha. I love the idea!

Now that I've said all that garbage... how does one get this type of thing going? Do you, Lgrace, contact the CFF and see if they like the idea? Or what? Anybody know?
