Sorry to hear that you are locked up! I know what MRSA is like as well. I first cultured it about two and a halfyears ago and at first it bothered me A LOT. We didnt really know that I had it, so my doc kept giving me oral meds....cuz I would get what we thought were normal colds, well three months later I landed in the hosp. Two weeks after my cleanout I was sick again (this was before we knew about the MRSA)...so I ended up in the hospital again, less than three months later. This scared the crap out of me, I had alwasy been a one time a year girl, so it was kinda creepy. Well thats when we finally realized it was MRSA. I felt soooooo much better after that cleanout and was not in the hosp again for a whole year.
The good news though, in this last year, I have felt soooo good. Nine months ago, my PFT's hit a low of 64%...well three months after that, they skyrocketed back up to 96%! I still culture the MRSA, but as long as I stay on top of it and when I feel sick, call the doc...I am pretty under control!
