momatana- i just typed in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and garlic and some articles came up from february 2007 about doing research. i wonder how the outcomes were. maybe we all need to start eating garlic.

i might start eating more anyway just to see my levels. i love the garlic stuffed olives so i'll just eat those <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

hi, Tara.

My pharmacist told me that fresh garlic is in the news as a treatment for pseudomonas - peel, chop and swallow! Easy and inexpensive - follow the research.</end quote></div>

For years now I've been taking garlic supplements, and up until recently I hardly ever had a lot of flare-ups. This past fall/winter has been a b*tch for me, as I seem to get sick every other month. I've started taking garlic on its own - eating it straight. We'll see how it works, but keep in mind that garlic is also a blood thinner, so if you have problems with coughing up blood/lung bleeders, be careful!

Good news on the garlic! How much do you guys suggest I eat. And is this going to repel my husband, as well as vampires?

Zyvox is a new one to me. I've never been on it. I've only used prednisone once. For a whopping 4 days. It did my body good, made my lungs stop hurting, but I don't feel "hurt" or inflamed to the point of pain, so I haven't asked the doc about it since.

I have been on doxy before because at the time I did culture something that was sensitive to it. It made me pretty nauseous, but not any worse than Cipro. I think I have some in my cabinet, I'll call the doc tomorrow and ask if I can add it!

Thanks guys. Keep the tips coming! I'll try (almost) anything.

Along with what Momtana said, the garlic can also help to boost your energy. Though having leeks with pork also has a "mysterious" energy boost, along with adding the garlic, of course. This is a typical mix for "Stamina Ramen" which is often available during the hot summer months in Japan.
Taurin is a supplement that will also increase the energy, so along with the garlic, hopefully it will make a difference.
Ginseng (sp?) may also be an additional herb to do a little bit of research for...
