In Case Anyone Missed Me...

I've been gone for a while, but I'm not dead. I had a really nasty staph infection. I ended up with a fever of 102.7 Wedensday, even after trying oral meds, so they admitted me through the ER and kept me until today, my birthday. While I was there I had a chest x-ray done. Apparently the staph had also caused a slight case of pneumonia. For a while I thought I was MRSA, but that's not the case, thank god. Anyway, in case anyone was wondering what happened to me (you probably weren't, but still) now you know. I hope everyone else is doing fine on this end. Ciao, everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what it is like to worry about getting MRSA, my staph ended up turning to MRSA and when they told me I about passed out.....but I am still doing great anyway.. I think it made me more prone to getting sick more often is all..I was told MRSA is treatable, now a days I see it much more often on the skin, especially in young children who go to daycare, when the staff do not use good hyygenie it goes from butt to butt...

Anyway you said you were home, but are you better??

I'm glad to know that you are ok. I was beginning to wonder but wasn't sure if you posted that you would be absent or what. Happy birthday to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd been off-and-on with the forum (New Job) so I was'nt able to pay attention to the decrease in your posts!! But, glad to hear you are back, and doing better after your pneumonia episode!!

BTW, how's your purple dragon, Bob, doing???
