Briceton had the surgery at 9 months old due to aspirating pneumonia and has done really great with it, with no reaching! Although he has not been able to burp or vomit, it hasn't caused any significant problems for him for not being able to do so.

For us the aspiration pneumonia was doing a toll on his little lungs, and for him CF was doing enough on its own, we didn't need the extra damage. We went in had the surgery and discharged 3 days later. His wrap has loosened a bit (which is common) and surgery is most likely happening again, but for his benefit we will do it all over again.
