Incessant throat clearing & voice loss

Reflux can contributed to hoarseness and throat clearing too.

Hey, all. My throat stuff comes from two sources--sinus issues and reflux. For the one, I do sinus rinsing (NeilMed) and I've had a bunch of surgery, and for the other, I use acid reducers. The reflux feels like it's from my chest/stomach, and the sinus issues feel more like a tickle. Good luck!

I am so glad someone made this topic. At this point in my life at 21, (yes, i have cf) i am curious as to what is normal and what is because of my CF. I clear my throat or lose my voice quite often. I also tend to drink a LOT. I always have water, soda, or other fluids, that i sip on all throughout the day. i knew this was from CF, I just thought it had to do with acidic levels. I have also had 20+ sinus surgeries growing up and i can tell you they absolutely help. I remember 2 weeks after a sinus surgery how i can smell like i have never smelled anything before. Anyways that is my input.

what's a CF voice?
i have to clear my throat all the time too. i've never had a problem with losing my voice though. mostly everything comes up real easy. it just sounds really nasty when i do it.

funny story:
I was at work and i hadnt seen anyone or said good morning to anyone yet and i cleared my throat and from around the corner and down the hall my boss yelled good morning nicole, i knew it was you by your throat clearing. haha great reputation at work right?

anyways....
I hate losing my voice and clearing my throat it also always gets worse when i am on tobi.
