Increasing Vest

Since my pregnancy I have been trying to increase my Vest stanima. However, I am not sure what to increase to. I use my Vest 3 times a day for about 15 minutes with a Freq of 12 and a Pressure of 5.5.

What does everyone else do for Freq, Pressure and time on the Vest?

We just had an appt w/ our pulmonologist at Stanford. My daughter is 5 with CF, so I'm sure it might be different because she is a child.

He indicated that we need to do two 30 minute sessions per day when she doesn't have a cold. We are supposed to have the Frequency low, like 6, 7, and 8 for 5 minutes each with a pressure cranked all the way up to 10. In between each 5 minute session we are to do huff breaths.

Then for the last 15 minutes he wants us to have the frequency high, like 14, 15 and 16 and decrease the frequency to 6 or 7. with huff breaths every 5 minutes....

that's just what we do and seems to be the most definitive advice we have been given.

i do mine 30 minutes twice a day at pressure of 6 and settings of 10, 14. and 16. not sure where i got these numbers, but know i've taken it upon myself to decrease what they initially told me about having the vest "tight" on my chest. i think i started around 8 or so pressure, which didn't allow me to take a deep breath during the treatment.

the letter from warwick is very interesting (will have to go back and read parts i missed antoher night)... thanks for sharing that ferris! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
