Same story but our daughter was born on April 20. Her reconnection is tomorrow (well today now, July 13.) I hope it goes well. We've been through too much already.

Omigosh, I had to laugh about the pooping during diaper changes! I remembered posting on DS' site when he was a baby about how THRILLED we were when he finally pooped by himself and then how the poop just kept coming -- sometimes 2-3 times DURING a diaper change. So glad to hear she's doing much better. Keeping you in my thoughts!

My daughter just had her ileostomy reversed on June 25. She passed gas the next day and had a bowel movement the following day. It was the greatest day of our lives so far! Yay for poop! She was released from the hospital in less than a week and is doing great. Just wanted to share our story, hope you all have a similar one.

Wow! Less than 1 week! That is wonderful she was able to move that fast! Congrats to having her home! I can't wait! It has been nearly 3 months so far.
Our daughter is still in the hospital. It took just over a week before they even fed her any food. She was on TPN and Lipids for the whole time. She is now up to full feedings and about to get her Broviac out (hopefully soon!) and I would then hope she will be coming home this week! The doc said 1 maybe 2 more weeks this past Friday. If things keep going real well we are hoping by the end of this week, but not keeping our hopes up to be disappointed.
rpcvchina: How did your baby's reconnection go?
Thanks for sharing your stories! It would be great to keep in touch on progress!
