I agree with Noexcues. It is our job to educate.

A lot of people just don't know how contagious they are.

I am stocked with lots of hand sanitizer.

I keep hand sanitizer on my desk and constantly am using it. After a scare a few years ago after DS was born and my student employee came to work with the flu, who used my computer and phone, and nobody wanted to tell me because it might "upset" me, we had a come to jesus meeting at work about people coming to work sick. It's not just my family but we've got a coworker awaiting a kidney transplant who was told by her doctor not to get a flu shot this year because of something having to do with antibodies and the transplant, another person recovering from cancer... And it's just common sense.

If I'd have known that the person sitting next to me was sick for real, I would've told him to go home, too. Guess I was thinking he was hungover again.

I get that a lot at school. And it's slightly annoying. But then when I get whatever they brought in, I go to class too. So whatever. Really the people at school do it because we only have 3 absences before points are taken off, and if we miss too many, our advisers get real bitchy (like one girl who's also a mother came in sick because she said she needed to save her 3 absences for kid emergencies).
